About Me

I’m a digital publisher and small business owner based in Guttenberg, New Jersey. After graduating from Baruch College, I spent the last three years building KartiKart.com, a minimalist jewelry brand that donates 5% of every sale to fighting human trafficking.

Along the way, I discovered a passion for building niche information sites that help people navigate topics that are often confusing, full of jargon, or buried behind paywalls. That passion turned into a growing network of free resource sites — each focused on a specific topic where I felt everyday people deserved better, more transparent information.

My approach is simple: research deeply, present clearly, and never charge for information that should be freely accessible.

Building My Unemployment Rights

I started My Unemployment Rights because losing a job raises the same questions for almost everyone – can I get unemployment, how much is it, how do I file, what do I do if they deny me, and what does my old employer still owe me – and there was no one place that answered them with the real state numbers and the real deadlines instead of a portal or a pitch. The state sites are built for filing, not explaining; the calculator sites print one number with no date on it; and the articles that rank never tell you how many days you have to appeal. I built this site to be the worker-first authority on what happens after you lose a job: every state gets guides with the actual weekly benefit, the duration, the waiting week, the appeal deadline and the final-paycheck rule, each with the date we verified it; and there are free tools to estimate your check, count your appeal days, check your final-paycheck deadline, and screen whether a firing may have been unlawful. We are not a government agency and not a law firm. If you just lost a job, or you are checking your rights at work before you decide what to do next, this is the resource I wish existed.
